Terms of Service

In short: ULearn is a language learning app. One lesson a day is free; Pro removes the limit. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled through the App Store or Google Play. As long as you do not abuse the service, your account is yours.
1. Parties and scope
These terms are an agreement between Sibra (address: Karşıyaka, İzmir, Türkiye, "we") and the person using the ULearn mobile app or the u-learn.app website ("you"). By using the app you accept these terms.
2. The service
ULearn lets you practise a language by speaking with an AI-powered teacher. Lessons run over a real-time audio connection and require an uninterrupted internet connection.
ULearn is a learning tool. It is not an official language certification, an accredited academic programme, or a professional service replacing a human teacher. We do not guarantee any particular learning outcome, exam result or level gain.
3. Your account
You can start as a guest. Signing in with Google or Apple makes your account permanent. You are responsible for the security of your account and for activity carried out through it.
You can delete your account at any time from the profile screen in the app. Deleting your account also deletes your learning history, and this cannot be undone.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
4. Free usage
On the free tier you can start one lesson per day. The allowance resets automatically each day. We may change the scope and limits of the free tier in the future; if we do, we will let you know in the app.
5. ULearn Pro
ULearn Pro gives you unlimited lessons, access to every roleplay scenario, and early access to new features. It is offered as a monthly and a yearly plan.
Current prices are shown on the purchase screen in the app, in your local currency and inclusive of tax. Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play; your payment details never reach us.
6. Cancellation, renewal and refunds
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal fee is charged to your store account on the day the period ends.
You can cancel at any time from your device's store settings:
- iOS: Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions
- Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments and subscriptions
When you cancel, Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are governed by the refund policy of the store where the purchase was made (Apple or Google) and must be requested directly from that store; refunds are not under our control.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose,
- Attempt to access someone else's account,
- Overload the system with automated tools, reverse engineer it, or try to circumvent security measures,
- Create multiple fake accounts to get around the free tier limit,
- Share other people's personal data or unlawful content during lessons,
- Copy, distribute or commercially exploit the service or its content without permission.
8. About AI-generated content
The teacher's replies, corrections and roleplay dialogue are generated by artificial intelligence. This content can occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading. Do not rely on it without verification for anything important.
AI-generated content does not constitute medical, legal, financial or any other professional advice.
9. Intellectual property
All rights in the app, lesson content, design, brand and software belong to us. Using the service grants you a personal, non-transferable right of use only.
Content you produce during lessons (what you say, the scenarios you create) belongs to you. By using the service you allow us to process that content so we can provide it; this permission is limited to operating the service.
10. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free; temporary outages may occur due to maintenance, provider failures or events beyond our control.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages. Our total liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
These limitations do not affect rights that consumers have under applicable law and that cannot be limited by contract.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms. For less serious breaches we will warn you first where we reasonably can.
If we decide to discontinue the service entirely, we will give at least 30 days' notice and refund the unused part of any subscription period.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We will notify you in the app or by email before significant changes that are unfavourable to you take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of İzmir have jurisdiction over disputes.
Consumers in Türkiye may also apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee or the Consumer Court at their place of residence, depending on the monetary thresholds.
